Abstract

Asia-Pacific is a large region that extends from the western coast of the American continent to the westernmost coast of Asia and includes a vast area of ​​different countries and a large population, which has become the most important geopolitical region in the world with a wealth of facilities, knowledge, technology, population and resources. The presence of powerful countries from various military, economic and scientific perspectives has turned this region into a vast field of competition for international actors in the current century. The United States of America is also considered one of the main axes of cooperation and competition in the geopolitical arena of this region due to its history of presence in this region and its special role in the international arena. Considering that many prominent economists and strategists in the world consider the 21st century to belong to Asia-Pacific. The presence of the United States is important for maintaining its international position and power in this region. Therefore, in this study, by examining the importance of this region, the necessity and benefits of the presence and competition of the United States in the region have been examined and the challenges ahead have been discussed.
