Abstract
Paradiplomacy is one of the new types of diplomacy. As one of the border provinces, Sistan and Baluchistan province is the focal point of communication between the three countries of Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan, therefore, it has provided a special strategic position in the field of political and economic communication for this province. This article seeks to answer the question, what is the role of paradiplomacy in the border areas of Sistan and Baluchistan province? It is stated in the hypothesis that paradiplomacy causes investment and development in the border region of this province. In this article, by using the documentary method, relying on written library sources and internet articles for reasons such as having a special geographical location, the presence of rich metal mines, the suitable climate for growing crops, the role of national trade and foreign transit between Europe and Central Asia, the activity tourism, Bandar Chabahar, solar and wind energy, the activity of border terminals, shipbuilding industries and the existence of important shipping docks have been investigated and the results indicate that paradiplomacy in the border region of Sistan and Baluchistan can play a significant role in attracting capital and create jobs and expand various economic exchanges and help the central government in solving extra-regional issues.
