NARCO Terrorism and its Impact on the Multilateralism of Central Asian Countries

Abstract

Drug trafficking has created a lot of problems for the newly independent republics of Central Asia and has caused significant financial and financial damage. The profits and prosperity of this trade have led to the terrorist and religious extremist groups that exist in the region in order to consolidate their authority and purchase the necessary weapons. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of drug trafficking and organized assassinations resulting from this in a descriptive-analytical method and to obtain the required information from the literature articles. In this context, the main research question is how will the impact of Narco terrorism affect the multiliteralism of the Central Asian countries? The findings of the study, using Barry Bozne and Weaver's theory, suggest that the use of extremist religious groups in most Central Asian countries has increased the threat to economic, political, security, and social dimensions. Central Asian republics therefore seek to control and manage these problems by pursuing multiliteralism in regional and transnational organizations, including the Central Asian Cooperation Organizations, the Commonwealth of Independent States, the CSTO and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. , And the ECO to strengthen tensions between them that have been around for ages, and also to abolish the threats of NARC terrorism.
